Apple unveiled the much-awaited iPhone 7 in their special event which took place on 7th September. Along with their next-gen iPhone, Apple launched Apple Watch Series 2, and AirPods. While you can Pre-order the smartphone from September 9, it will be available in stores from September 16. Not only Apple has improved the Camera and Display in iPhone 7, they have also improved the Battery Life which most of the iPhone users wanted. Moreover, the iPhone 7 is dust and water-resistant. Also, there is no audio jack in the new iPhone 7. You can, however, connect EarPods with Lightning Connector or Apple AirPods (worth $159.00) with it.

 

The body of iPhone 7 is quite similar to iPhone 6, but this time, they have made it very Shiny. While the iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with 3D touch, the iPhone 7 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch display. The Home Button on iPhone 7 is pressure sensitive and customizable. The home button is now solid-state and does not require a physical click. Also, Apple claims to have improved the fingerprint sensor. Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available in 5 different colors – Rose Gold, Silver, Gold, Black and Jet Black. All the colors (except Jet Black) will be available in 3 models based on storage capacity – 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Jet Black will only come with 128GB and 256GB storage capacity.

In the US, the price of iPhone 7 will start from $649 (for the 32-GB model), while the iPhone 7 Plus will start from $769.
In India, the price of iPhone 7 (32 GB) will be around ₹60,000. The price of 128 GB is expected to be ₹70,000 and of 256 GB model is expected to be around ₹80,000.  In India, the phone will be available from 7th October.

What’s New

If you compare the new iPhone 7 with the iPhone 6S, you will see minor improvements in almost everything. Although the design of both the phones is quite similar, there is no 3.5mm audio jack in the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Also, there is no Space Gray variant, but Black and Jet Black colors instead. Display and Performance of iPhone 7 is much better than the iPhone 6S. Moreover, iPhone 7 is Dust and Water Resistant. Also, it comes with Stereo Speakers. iPhone 7 has a new Home Button which does not require any physical click and has a Force Touch.
iPhone 7 has a 7-MegaPixel FaceTime Camera, whereas, iPhone 6S has a 5-MegaPixel front camera. The iSight camera on the 4.7-inch iPhone has a six-element lens and a 12-megapixel sensor. Also, the primary camera has a f/1.8 aperture that captures 50% more light means you’re going to get much better pictures and videos in low light conditions. The new iPhone is also said to have up to 2 hours longer battery life than iPhone 6s.
