Microsoft unveiled new Windows 10 devices at an event in New York City on Tuesday. Microsoft announced the Lumia 950 and 950XL smartphones and a 13.5-inch, 6-million-pixel Surface Book laptop. Microsoft also launched the Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft Band 2. Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950XL are running Windows 10 and are the first top-line smartphones from Microsoft that run on Windows 10. These beasts from Microsoft also have the capability to work like your PC.
Now, coming to the specifications, both these phones offer high-end features.
Microsoft Lumia 950 Specifications:-
Lumia 950 comes with 5.2″ Quad HD display (2560 x 1440). It is powered by a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and 3GB of RAM. It has a 20 MegaPixel rear camera with 4K video recording. It also comes with an intelligent camera setting ‘Rich Capture‘ that automatically takes better pictures. It has a Triple LED Natural Flash and dedicated camera buttons. You can also connect the Lumia 950 to a “Microsoft Display Dock” and Windows apps like Word, Excel, and Microsoft Edge scale up for a PC-like experience on an external monitor. The phone features USB 3.1 port, which Microsoft says can charge 50% of the battery in just 30 minutes. The phone also has built-in wireless charging. It has 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 200GB (via MicroSD Card).
Microsoft Lumia 950XL Specifications:-
The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, on the other hand, comes with 5.7″ Quad HD display (518ppi). It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM. Except these, nearly all the other specs of Lumia 950XL are same as that of the Lumia 950.
The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL comes with liquid cooling technology, ensuring that the phone doesn’t heat up. Both the handsets also support Windows Hello, a biometric authentication capability that makes it possible for the devices to verify users by looking at their faces. With the help of this facial-recognition capability, Lumia 950 & 950 XL unlock as soon as the user holds them up in front of their face.
